Dr. Christenson is a Northern California coast native, having grown up amongst the Redwood forests. She later moved to Seattle, and then moved to Bend in 2020 after seeking a smaller town feel, with plenty of access to nature and sunshine.
Dr. Christenson was drawn to Feline Fine Cat Clinic for the focus on low stress handling of patients, a fun and supportive practice culture, and for the opportunity to work with her favorite species, cats! Prior to working at Feline Fine, Dr. Christenson practiced relief medicine at a handful of practices in Central Oregon, as well as associate positions at general practices in Washington and California.
Dr. Christenson particularly enjoys geriatric medicine, soft tissue surgery, and preventative care, along with obtaining exposure to all kinds of interesting internal medicine cases.
During her free time, Dr. Christenson makes time for hobbies including gardening, baking, and reading, in addition to nordic skiing, paddleboarding, traveling, watching hockey, figure skating, and camping. She lives in Bend with her husband, Boris, along with two rabbits (a male lop, named Nikita, and a female rex cross, named Aurora). Her bunnies were rescued from a prior client in Seattle, and a local rabbit rescue, respectively. She lost her elderly kitty in 2022 and looks forward to when she feels ready to adopt another cat in the future.
