Doctor K. is a native of Nova Scotia, Canada. Over the years, she bounced around a variety of countries and states in the US. Her family jumped on the opportunity to relocate to Bend in 2019, after falling in love with the PNW during their travels.
Doctor K. has had a fondness for kitties since childhood, and has gained a reputation of being “The Crazy Cat Vet”, in part due to her brightly colored cat-themed clothing and accessories. She has worked as a relief veterinarian at multiple veterinary practices in Central Oregon, and volunteers her time providing dental surgery to cats at the Humane Society of Central Oregon (HSCO). Doctor K.’s other roles were in general practice, ER/ICU, and she served as the first Medical Director for the Potter League for Animals, a wonderful animal shelter in Rhode Island.
